Our Forest School

Little Peanuts Day Nursery is situated in over 7000 square metres of its own private grounds - that’s equivalent to over 26 tennis courts! This land is our very own forest school where our children spend a great deal of their time taking part in all types of fun, educational and life-building outdoor activities.

Our forest school is a brilliant opportunity for children to develop fantastic skills, such as their social skills, communication skills, independence, self-esteem, resilience, and confidence not to mention the health benefits gained by spending so much time outside in the fresh, open countryside!

Forest School Ethos

Our forest schools ethos is to provide all children with a stimulating and inspiring outdoor environment, in which they can develop their personal, social, and emotional skills, by exploring the world around them.

Our forest schools programme is designed to allow children to have a hands-on, safe experience in the outdoor environment, where they learn to use tools safely, build their independence, engage their imagination, and grow in confidence and self-esteem.

The children are given the time and the space to really explore and discover, whilst being supervised by adults who will role model and enhance the children’s learning further.
