Working At Little Peanuts

At Little Peanuts we begin with each child and work alongside families, colleagues, and community to support and guide each other in providing a nurturing, safe and loving environment where all children thrive.

Staff are our most valuable asset in ensuring that every Little Peanut is a unique and happy child: healthy, social, confident, creative, independent and ready to learn. Every day is a new adventure, and we look forward to you being a part of it.

We train our staff in The Curiosity Approach, using our beautiful and engaging setting to support children’s learning through endless play opportunities. Within our two acres we have a well used Forest School area and we train our staff to ensure they can make the most of this and all things outdoors across our amazing site.

Our current staff training offer includes Level 3 apprenticeships up to Early Years Initial Teacher Training.

Without staff who love coming to work, feel supported in their workplace and are able to be at their best, we cannot support our Little Peanuts children to reach their best. Therefore, we think it is vital to offer all our staff a comprehensive package.

This includes:

· Above average pay package with achievements and new qualifications rewarded.

· Full time is still a four day week! Part time working options also available.

· Generous annual leave allocation, including a week off between Christmas and New Year.

· Provision for sick leave and emergency dependency care with full pay.

· Regular supervision meetings with focus on staff well-being across all aspects of nursery life.

· Time allocated for all staff for continuing professional development, with support for further training and career progression.

· Consistent focus on staff well-being – we look after you so you feel at your best when looking after our Little Peanuts children. This can range from having a home cooked meal at lunchtime to taking time when you need a break during the day or just sharing in the joys and little moments of happiness of caring for young children.
