Covid-19 Policies and Procedures
Settling-In
Settling in is such a vital element of starting at Little Peanuts that we set aside a room for family visits so that parents will not be mixing with other children at the nursery and we can begin the settling in process properly. During this first visit, children and their family can meet their key person and everyone can begin to get to know each other. Children can have as many visits to their new room as possible to help them to feel at home in their new surroundings and get to know both staff and the other children.
Face Coverings for Staff and Parents
Current advice does not require staff to wear face coverings whilst working in Early Years settings — we think this is important as we want children to see our faces, especially when getting to know us.
Temperature Checks for Staff and Visitors
We are carrying out temperature checks daily for our staff and children and will also ask visiting adults to be tested on arrival.
Hand Washing
As in all our rooms, handwashing facilities are available, alongside hand sanitiser.
Visitors Toilet
We ask that any visitors only use the visitors’ toilet facilities, which are cleaned between visits.
